Welcome to Etracer. It will exceed all your expectations and with the number of tubes you have you should be using it for years to come!

Hello all,
I'm a newbie etracer user, but not a newbie to building tube stuff.
I was starting to dust off my old hobby stuff in preparation for retirement.
Yes, after 40 years, I will be leaving the University of Ottawa.
How will they manage without me ? (A: just fine..)
One of the things which never happened hobby-wise was to build an amp with the monster tubes
which were in the electromagnet supply of our old (1970's) AEI MS902 mass spectrometer.
They are called 13E1 and are about the size of a Cola can.
I have a whole pile of them, in varying stages of decay.
I was thinking that I should build myself a better way to test tubes, since my old setup is clumsy and bulky.
So.. the first "thank you" goes to Peter Millett for alerting me to the etracer.
The second "thank you" goes to Chris for making this unit available to humanity.
It's all very nice and well done, both hardware and software wise.
Providing the little tool for the nuts of the banana jacks was very thoughtful.
Little things like that tell me that somebody cares.
Received my unit a few days ago and measured my first 13E1 tube today.
It all works beautifully well.
I'm likely not going to be spending a lot of time on this forum, but you never know.
Cheers
Sander
