EF91, EF92 and EF95 support, WE403A/B and WE408?

So, I'm not quite brave enough to try my hand at configuration files yet (Just got my eTracer and don't want to make mistakes - Though I hope to get into creating .etf files pretty regularly...)

I know it's a "request" but, I'm looking for the following configs:

WE403A/B 6AK5/5591 EF95

6CQ6/EF92/M8161

6AM6/EF91/M8083

...(So basically EF91, EF92 and EF95; aka 6AK5, 6CQ6 and 6AM6)

WE396A/2C51/5670

.. and lastly, this should be possible I think:

WE408A (which AFAIK is just a 6ak5/EF95 with a 20v filament)

If nobody can create these I'm willing to have a go myself, as soon as I make absolutely dead sure I know what I'm doing.

(Unfortunately I'm not on Facebook so this is the only place I can look..)

Hi Aryntha.

Don't have any of those files personally, but like you was very hesitant in creating my own. Found that the data is out there for pretty much all tubes, but you always wont always find all the parameters you need to have a complete file. Start with the western electric tubes, they have really good data sheets you can get quickly build the files to test your tubes.
Start with the pin location and the heater parameters (20V / 0.05ma)and then you can start plugging in different voltages to test the tube.
Haven't blown up the eTracer or a tube yet and have made some pretty dumb mistakes entering the data from time to time.

What I would put in for the 408A
Plate 120V (HV1)
Screen 120v (HV2) personally I wouldn't link to HV1
Grid -2 (NEGV)

Check RP an microhms on HV1
Results
7.5ma for Plate
300000 for RP
5000 microhms

For the curves just plug in the numbers from the graphs on the data sheet

0 to 200 for the plate voltage
HV2 is always 120
Grid is -1 to -4 in 1V steps
20ma for Imax and 1.7W for Pmax
adjust your graph size and start the test an watch the curves

Also like you not a facebook user so this is the only place i go as well.

Enjoy

I've created config files for EF91 and EF95. Parameters for triode configuration for these two tubes can be derived from the datasheet. So these two config files will be included in the future software releases.

For EF92/6CQ6 no information can be found in the datasheet for triode connection and hence I can only generate a config file for pentode connection. This config file will not be included in the future software releases as our principle for official config files is triode or triode-connected only.

I will email the config files to you.

Hey guys -- This is my shot at the 408a configuration file.

Didn't just change the heater voltage; also changed some of the max currents, voltages, reference gm rp etc....

Typical voltage is 120v on plate and screen; though the datasheet says absolute max is 180v, and I notice that for example the EF95 Chris used the max voltage of 200v; so not sure if I should be using 180v.

Can anyone sanity check this file for me?

Did I do anything crazy wrong here, or miss anything?

I was able to find the Sylvania 408A sheets and RCA 408A sheets:

frank.pocnet.net/sheets/137/4/408A.pdf
frank.pocnet.net/sheets/049/4/408A.pdf

but strangely, can't find the WE 408a datasheet.

Anyways, attempt attached, I haven't run it yet, just wanted to see if I could get more eyes on it.

And here's an attempt at a WE420A / CK5755 configuration.
