Failure to Print was created by rodgerwright
I suddenly could not print labels. Worked ok previously. Printer address showing ok, print button pushed, message searching for printer, etc. but nothing happened. No label printed.
- Reconnected USBs
- Restarted program
- Restarted PC
- Restarted printer
- Reloaded libsub-32
- Reloaded etracer Alpha 1.26
- etc. etc. etc. with no results, still won't print
But oddly sometimes it would print once, but then not again. I thought it might be a problem with a Win 10 update or some such.
Eventually, after much time, effort and quartering of the territory I found the sequence of events that causes this problem.
I have been working on a vintage radio that uses a rather obscure 6AR7GT valve. This is a dual diode (detector, AVC) and a Hexode frequency converter. After some experimentation, I created two etd files for it (dual diode and Hexode) and it tested good. Hexode test prints fine.
The 'no print' problem arises if, and only if, I run a Quick Scan on the diodes. Print won't work after that. So if I ran a Full Scan First, I could get a print. But then going back to the Quick Scan to do a tweak, print would not longer work (the sometimes print once ...)
Etd file attached. Any suggestions???
